Hey I recently purchased a new head unit for the focus but need a wiring adapter kit to run the stock harness to the new head unit. Was wondering what people are/have used? The stock head unit has 3 connector plug-ins and the antenna. The new Kenwood unit has 1 connector plug-in and the antenna.
Wal mart will sell the ford harness that you hard wire to the ken wood harness. It is all color coded. Just get some wire nuts and the harness. Might need antenna adapter too.
Thank you all, that was the wiring i was looking at on amazon. Just wasn't 100% sure it was that one. Did you all splice in the harness to the stock one or cut the stock one completely and wire it in.
You wont have to cut any wires, the harness I linked above just plugs into your stock plugs. then you wire the harness to your new headunit. If your cutting wires your doing it wrong. Also the wires are color coded so just match the wires. Depending on the headunit you may or may not use all the wires coming from the harness this is normal.
Awesome, Just wanted to check on that. The link you provided is great! Do the connectors go into one male plug that connects to one female plug on the head unit? I can't tell due to the picture on the link just showing the male connectors and not the ends.
