Well I know the EPA combined estimate for an '03 SVT is 20, and Ive been getting about 18 with a SRI and FSWerks exhaust, so if you're getting low 20's that's not bad, if not an SVT (I didn't check) then I would change the filter, it's cheap and easy to do, if not that then just take a glance at the rest of the fuel system, don't really need to replace anything just check for a cracked line or something simple like that that would drain mileage

I my self would not be happy with that mileage. Is that all city driving?

My 01 SPI gets 35 in summer, 28 this winter, mostly highway miles. My zetec in ZX2 Escort was 37 in summer 33 winter. If the ZX2 Ecorts did not rust out so bad (anyway in this area) I would have a hard time parting with it! I forgot, much better performance at the pedal then them SPI's.

I was getting 22 MPG mixed. But I just replaced the fuel pump and filter. That should help it get better mileage.

With the heavy urban traffic, constant idling at a red light, never getting over 35 mph, the 2.3 auto gets 23mpg.

When I drive cross country and get to drive freeways at 85 mph it bumps up to 26-28 mpg
