Alternative to the lunch box delete
Hey Guys,
I have been mulling this over for a couple days, has anyone attempted to remove the first muffler and remove it with a straight pipe instead of the lunch box? Thoughts? Would their be any advantage? would it sound better? I put a nice tip on my lunchbox so it isnt as bad but id like a bit more grunt |

removing that muffler will be louder than removing the lunchbox, and probably a lot more raspy.

Yes, things like mufflers/resonators/cats do way more sound deadening the closer they are to the engine.

The "lunchbox" on an mk3 is not actually a lunchbox. Its an actual muffler. I'd guess that removing the front muffler would probably make just as much noise difference as removing the rear. But I can't say that for sure.
