I got my ST3 to eat road, not tires. The ability to cruise effortlessly and jump into gaps when the is a 10 mph difference between the right and left lanes makes this car a joy to drive. I was concerned about having a manual daily driver in rush-hour, but this car feels more natural than my former automatic SES. But you're right, burnouts were cool when I was in high school (in the 70's).
