Like the title says, this is my "build thread." You more than likely won't see anything crazy awesome like me turboing my Focus (not yet anyways haha). I am making this thread to hopefully give people ideas of small things that can be done without having alot of time. I am currently in college, have a job, gf, and family to be with to so I dont have time to do anything major. Although when I get a real job I do plan on lowering my car, and eventually taking out the back seats and doing some custom wood paneling. None of those crazy shinanigans will be seen for awhile though. [shhh]

First off, this first post will probably be pretty long. I bought my Focus in late March of 2011 (a year from now already! Wow!) and have been doing things to it ever since. I will take you month by month into what I have done to my car, and post whatever pictures I may have.

Alright so my dad and I found my 2001 ZX3 on the Cincinnatti craigslist for $4000. We drove up there and bought it for $3700. It had 91k miles on it, and was completely stock. It was a stick shift. My last car (and first car) was a 1995 Ford Probe SE and it was an auto. Here are some pics of what the car looked like the day I got it:

There wasn't really anything too wrong with it. The previous owner was an elderly lady and her son did all of the work to it. He jerry rigged everything possible. The reverse safety mechanism was bypassed, he made a normal door key work for the ignition because he lost the normal key, the speakers were all missmatched and not made for cars, and alot of the wiring for the speakers was connected by being twisted together and wrapped in tape! Oh and the AC needed charging, and there was a vibration coming from the front right of the car. I would rate the body as a 7/10 because there is dings, dents and sratches in the paint. But none of this stuff was really that bad and didnt cost much of anything to fix it.

March 2011:
I was determined not to spend any money on this car. The probe I had I had just put $1300 into it to get it running again, and felt stupid after I spent money modding it. That money could have easily paid for the repairs it needed. So I went around looking at things that could be repaired. My antenna was rusty and cut up. That was the first thing I bought! A stubby antenna off ebay for $5. I replaced the valve cover gasket I also swapped the system from the Probe that I had put in two summers before when I got my lisense. I made this box later in May but here is a pic:

April 2011:
Shortly after putting my system in, I decided I wanted to paint my interior. I had just done this to the Probe the summer before, and I loved the way it turned out. In this car, I took out alot of little interior pieces and cleaned them. Then I painted them black with Fusion spray paint. (Made for plastic.) Then I took a red can of Fusion spray paint and held it halfway down so that it spit paint. I thought it looked sick. I know some of you probably wont like this, but I love it. (I suppose thats all that matters. [grinking]) Here are some pics:

So far I was doing well, I was saving money on gas by consitantly getting 31 mpg over the Probe's 28 mpg, and I wasnt buying anything extra. Then came May....

May 2011:
I was getting obsessed with hypermiling. lol I started looking into mods to get better MPG because I drive over 400-500 miles a week. I decided I should buy a new CAI insted of a used one, so I got a FSwerks CAI for $220. I love it. But I dont think itd worth $220. its basically a piece of metal to block the heat, and a filter. This kit didnt even replace the stock plastic tubing alot of other kits replaced. But I still love it. It brought my MPG up to 36 (I also started driving like a grandpa). Here is a pic:

I made a box for my subs because I was bored and feeling crafty. [cool] The box was really heavy, but it organized everything nicely and looked good. The box is shown in March 2011.

June 2011:
My dad got his exhaust done on his F350. He asked the guy how much it would be to have my car done, and the guy said $120 for a catback exhaust system. I felt like this was a really good deal. I didnt want to spend the money after just having bought the CAI, but I knew I should. lol So I did. I loved the way it sounded. To this day it is still my favorite 4 cylinder exhaust. Here is a video. Fast forward to a minute to hear the exhaust.
http://s1196.photobucket.com/albums/aa405/bmxican190/?action=view&current=BackyardTrails.mp4

I replaced my CV axle with my friend because the guy that test drove my car after he installed my car said that is what it probably was. I believed him. lol I replaced it and it took maybe a tiny bit of the vibration away, but that was it.

I was getting tired of not having AC so I tried recharging it. It somewhat works. My AC would get cold after 20 minutes or so so I think I may need a new pump or something. I hate using AC though because it sucked towards MPG.

July 2011:
(I cant remember if it was June or July) I got my windows tinted. I got all my windows done with a lifetime warranty and front window strip for $120. I felt like this was a good deal, and the people who did it did a great job. As soon as my windows were done, I knew that my car was starting to look modded and I would start to mod it more and more. lol During June I also put a "Be American Buy American" sticker on my rear window. 'Mericah FTW!

I also found out my coil springs were broke. I always wondered why my car was so slammed in the front. lol Apparntly for 2001 zx3s there was a recall for having them replaced up to 10 years of your build date. I was actually within a month or so of that 10 years! Well the dealer dragged his feet on it and after a week or 2 said he couldnt do it. So we bought some from advanced. Looking back on it now I wish I had bought a good set of lowering springs or something.

August 2011:
I was rotating the tires when I finally found the cause of the vibration! My front rim had a huge dent in it. I felt stupid not noticing it. I felt better though knowing I found a problem. I then started searching for cheap rims, preferably SVT ones.

I also went to Focusfest 2011. I bought mudflaps from a guy there and installed them. I didnt get rims like I thought (I was picturing thousands of Focuses and parts being there). My dad won subs at FF11. I wasnt surprised because he seems to always win little things at bmx races and whatnot. He said he wasnt going to use them, so he gave them to me. Thanks Dad!

After I installed the mudflaps I replaced and painted the cowl cover black because it was really faded and cracked. Then I made a second intake for my CAI. There is no noticable difference, but it looks rather sick. I would still like to wrap it in some sort of insulated tape though.

September 2011:
I got some LEDs for my interior, and my parents got me rubber Ford floor mats. The LEDs my friend bought didnt fit in the dome, so they are still to this day stuck to the headliner. I am going to figure a nicer way to mount them though because they look silly and fall down alot. Oh and the floor mats are awesome that my parents got me!

I think this was when this happened but Im not sure. I was doing something to the trans (I remember putting new tranny fluid in, but I cant remember for the life of me what I was originally doing! lol) and I went to test drive the car and the brake lines blew out. Me and my friend replaced the rear brake lines and I was good to go.

My back left tire was so dry rotted it was bulging and cracking. I got it replaced. So now all 4 tires had different tread. lol

October 2011:
I believe this is when this happened. My gf accidently shut her seatbelt in her door. The door then wouldnt open until me and my friend looked at it. this metal part broke, and I got a new one which fixed it.

I am not sure when I did this but I will put it here. I tinted my turn signals and grille lights. They turned out pretty well. But then I got stupid and tried painting eyebrows on my headlights and I got overspray on my fender. Here is what it looked like, just without the roofrack at the time:

I finally got my FF goody bag in the mail and I put my FF lisense plate frame on and a Focusfest sticker on the windshield.

November 2011:
I bought a Kona roof rack from a member here on FX. I believe I got it for $250, but I cant remember for sure. I bought ebay bike mounts, and I liked it alot. I didnt think about the drop in MPG, so once that happened I wish I had never bought it. lol But the roofrack looks awesome, and it comes in handy.

I discovered the miracle of Plastidip. I plastidipped the eyebrows on my car and they turned out much better than the tint did. I plastidipped my rims as well. I liked the way they looked alot. So happy in fact, I was going to just find a stock rim that wasnt bent and plastidip that and not look for aftermarket ones anymore. I was tired of contacting people and only seeing bent wheels, or being lied to and people claiming their bent rims were straight. lol

My car broke down for the first time. I was on the way home and all of my lights started going crazy and dimming. I pulled over and the car woudldnt start. I was thinking alternator but i didnt know. My dad came and picked me up and towed me car. We looked at it later. I was starting to tear the car down to get the alternator out when I noticed the wires leading from a wiring harness were snapped. I replaced it and tha fixed it! So if your car has this problem check their first.

The last week of November I won Ford Racing Fiesta EAP rims! the bolt patern is the same, and they are basically the same as Focus EAP rims. They
are a bit darker in color, and the inside of the rim is all black insted of gray. I like them better. I got them for $450 brand new shipped to my door, which I thought was a seal because they are $170 a piece on Ford racing's website without shipping. I wasnt going to put them on until the Spring.

December 2011:
I ordered stickers for my fairing. I was planning on getting one with Christmas money. I also ordered my amp for the subs my dad won at FF!

My car turned over 100k already.

January 2012:
I installed the subs and amp with my friend. They were actually only a tiny but better than my old ones, but I was happy with them. They were in a bigger box as well. My parents totaled their 2006 ZXW. This came as a shock, but here is the thread I made about that:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=278461&highlight=wrecked

I test fitted my EAPs. I was pretty nervous because they looked like they were going to rub.

Right before my parents totaled their car I bumped into it in the driveway and did this:

February 2012:
I ordered the Yakima fairing I wanted off of amazon. I went to install it out and found it wouldnt work without some modding. So I just drilled it into my Kona rack and that worked. lol I then put my stickers on a week later. Here is a pic:

I also bought a fancy shmancy shift knob from a member in canada for $25. Its weighted and I love it.

Oh and my parents got a new Focus. 2010 SES. [80?] It sure is nice!

I fixed my seatbelts finally. They never retracted fully. Turns out when I put my system in originally when I first got the car I never put the panel back on right. lol

March 2012:
Wow an hour and a half of typing and I caught up already! lol Yesterday I got my EAPs on! [clap] This was my most noticable mod by far. I am actually waiting for the pics to upload for the thread of showing pics of my new rims and my parents new focus. So here is some pics of all of that:

Here is the thread for more pics and info:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282289

I tinted my new grille I bought (old one was really messed up) and did some stuff to my emblem to make it my own. Here is a how-to thread I made for it last night:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282185&highlight=paint+emblem

I took an hour or so to get all the overspray off from the eyebrows and scrape marks off my car from hitting my moms car. Before: (See the other pic of hitting my moms car as well)

After:

So basically I just have a really clean dent. lol

I was nominated for ROTM for April! I was kinda surprised other people nominated me. I believe they were being nice because I nominated them. lol I know I wont win but it feels good to be noticed. Feel free to vote for me! haha [headbang]Here is the thread for noms:
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282204

I have to say something. Often when I say I, me, or we, I forget to mention my family and friends that help. My dad always helps me with stuff when I need help. We always mess around with our cars because we joke around saying whos car is better. lol He has an escort with the same motor as me. (He could probably win though.) My best friend Ryan and his dad Bob help me alot as well. Thanks guys!! [strongman]

Check back often for more updates! Feel free to leave comments, questions, etc. about anything I have done. [8)] I have talked to alot of you on your build threads and always enjoy the convo. [thumb] Cheers! [cheers]

If I had a dream of what my build thread would be, it would be like this one. Hmm. something fancy coming for your headlights, thats a long time to wait...

Better be good!

Drunkinmonkey- you aren't jealous are you haha

#1,418 ·
I didn't know you still posted of FF Stephen. HAHA. Let me know if you want help with the possible motor mount, or even diagnosing the problem. Any idea on whether it might be the lower or upper? Also do you think the fender roller could possibly pop that dent out of my driver front wheel well?

#1,428 ·
Hmmm, I'm trying to think. Not so much, just some little stuff. My headlights aren't in yet still. I'll be installing those along with some other stuff the last week of September when I'm on vacation. I'll post pictures of it all I'm sure.

Now that the weather is starting to cool down, my car dies at stoplights again. Any ideas? It did this last winter too. I was originally thinking fuel filter, since its the original filter with 140k... But the weather shouldn't affect it right? My car vibrates a lot at start up, so I was thinking motor mount. But once again, I don't think the weather would make that any worse...

Oh and I won ROTM. Thanks for everyone who voted for me!! [clap][thankyou]

You might need a new IAC... You could try to clean it but that doesnt always help. That would be a good place to start...

This week is the week I have mentioned before about being off work. So far I haven't done a whole lot car related. Yesterday I bought a new center console, one without the arm rest. I had took a sawzall to mine a year or so ago, and used a Ziploc container to set in the hole. It of course looked a wee bit ghetto. So I found one for $20 that didn't have the arm rest. I painted it black last night and installed it today. I found out my shift boot and e-brake boot are riddled with holes. I'm going to pick some of those up as well. Tomorrow I should be repainting my door handles and mirror caps (yet again) and possibly fixing the latch inside my passenger's door. Thursday I'll be going to my parent's, where I'll be cleaning the ICV finally and fixing whatever that bad-wheel-bearing-like noise is. Lol I'll post pictures when everything is done with!

#1,434 ·
Copying me now! Probably last week or week before I went out and bought a console with no armrest for $12.00 or so. Painted it black, and put some LEDs in it.
That's funny that we did that at the same time. I have had LED's on my console and drivers and passengers area for a couple years thinking about it. I'm actually surprised they've lasted me this long. Lol The console was an easy mod, and I like it so much better than the sawzalled stock one. I just need to sew up the carpet where the new console is shorter than the old one. Here's some excellent quality iPhone 4 cellphone shots:

I just noticed my floor mats weren't back in yet when I took this shot. I vacuumed out my car for the first time since winter... kinda weird how fast time flies.

Looney Tunes hatch "carpet" still going strong

This past week was crazy. I didn't get as much car stuff done as I wanted, but oh well. Besides the console, I repainted my door handles, I cleaned the ICV, and checked all the motor mounts. Boom. It's funny, I planned on spending 3 days doing car stuff, then somehow I only wound up with 3 hours or so total... The car no longer dies at stoplights, so cleaning the ICV was the solution. All of the motor mounts looked fine, which was disappointing. I was really hoping to look at the lower motor mount, and see it shattered and be like "Ahaaa! There's the culprit." Then replace it, and have everything sound and feel hunky-dory again. But no. I did find that my exhaust was broken in half. My buddy's dad thought maybe that could add to the vibration, because you could see where it had been rubbing the floor board. I was thinking that could maybe add to the vibration in the floor, but it shouldn't have anything to do with vibration in the wheel.... or the massive roaring sound. I had my exhaust welded, and the problem was still there. My gut was still saying it was my wheel bearings that were shattered again. But before I go to share the rest of the story, here is some shots I took at the farm my fiancé's horse is at. It's a farm in the city... kinda weird. I was bored and snapped some pics.

Bacon!

Alright so to finish the wheel bearing story... This will hopefully be entertaining for you. To fill some of you in that may not know this story, I replaced my wheel bearings last summer with the cheapest Advance Auto wheel bearings. By March, they were shot again. Shame on me for cheaping out on doo doo wheel bearings. I learned my lesson - some things you can cheap out on, but some things you can't. Anyways, the car sounded and felt so bad that I didn't feel confident I'd make it 45 minutes back to my parents place to replace them myself. So I went to Ken Towery's, to see how much it would cost. The amount was ridiculously high they quoted me for, but I talked the guy down some and I had a coupon... but still. It was 4 times more than what I could have done it for myself. But I had Jessi with me. If I was single, I could care less. If I did lose a wheel from the bad wheel bearing, oh well. I'd buy a new wheel, bearing, pay for a tow truck, and it would still have been cheaper than paying the price I did at Ken Towerys. But like I said, if I lost my wheel and somehow Jessi got hurt, I'd never forgive myself for not paying the money. So I had them replace the 3 of the 4 that were "about to fall off the car." I replaced the 4th one myself with my buddy a couple weeks after. My car felt great at first. By May, the front end started getting louder. But I had just bought new tires, so I figured it was those breaking in. Then the front end got louder and louder, and there was plenty of vibration. I quit using the interstate a couple weeks ago. I looked at/fixed some other things, but nothing made a difference. I went to Ken Towery's today pretending to play dumb. I explained to them that the front end of my car was very loud, and there was vibration. They test drove it, brought it back and said yup, its the front two wheel bearings. he handed me a quote for $1100... LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLL. That was even more than the first quote. I then whipped out my receipt from March. He told me I was 3 months out of warranty. But if I paid $1100, I could have some of the original money back.... It was quite humorous. But atleast my gut was right, it was the wheel bearings again. Time to buy all new hub assemblies and go from there...hopefully wheel bearings number 13 and 14 will treat me better...

Also here is a couple more small updates. I'm going to pick up a SVT sub and amp from a buddy at some point soon. And my headlights still aren't in. I've been contacting the seller, and they're supposed to call the shipper tomorrow... it's starting to make me nervous. Lol

Focus Xtreme is having a meet at a local park by me. I've been planning it, and I'm excited. There's supposed to be almost 20 foci, which will beat our previous record if that many cars actually come. I'm sure I'll post pictures in here at some point!

#1,435 ·
This kind of goes without saying but I'll say it anyways. Bearing really shouldn't be going out that commonly; most likely you have another issue that is causing them to go. I've never replaced the front bearings on either of my car (half truth but it's a long story) so I'm not sure how they look but I was having similar issues on my rear bearing when they were going out every year. Turns out the hub seals were both rusted off and salt water was getting into the bearing. Dirt and bearings don't mix so after replacing the seals, the bearing have held up fine so far. When replacing the wheel hub, make sure all surrounding seals are still good so no dirt and grime can get in.

#1,438 ·
BTW The center console looks great. [thumb]

Thanks for the advice! I was going to make sure everything looked clean when I go to change them next time. This may sound dumb, but being lowered doesn't have anything to do with it right? I didn't know if that would put any extra stress on the bearings. and thanks!!

Wow that is quite the update you had there. Time always flies when you mess with a car. Which can be both a good and bad thing haha.

The new console looks good and LEDs as well. Shame for not vacuuming for almost a year!!

So then is that the excuse for buying a new exhaust system? The pictures look awesome, totally different from when you first purchased it. Wow!

Sounds like they got you up the butt for your bearings. That is just ridiculous. So what did you decide to do? Have him fix them or just do it yourself? That will be a nice project to work on. How could he charge you the same price for 2 as he did for 3.

Hmm something is fishy about the headlights...maybe.
haha yup, I used to wash my car and vacuum it twice a month. I vacuumed it after I moved, because I was using it as a moving truck. But since then, only I have really been in it. My bikes go in it sometimes, so it wasn't that dirty for going so long without a clean. I really wish I had a house and garage so I could clean my car more often!

I just had them weld in a new flex pipe. This was actually the 5th time I went to that shop. I may as well tell that story now right? [hihi]
Trip 1 - My dad was getting his exhaust done on his truck, and I asked the shop how much it would cost to do mine as well. I hated how quiet the car was. They removed the muffler, and the car sounded excellent. It was the best it ever sounded. Here's an old video of that sound (fast forward to the end):

Then I put a header on. That made the car sound like an angry bumble bee. I went back the next day to have them install another resonator, so that was trip two. Here's a video of that:

Here's a video of how it sounded after the resonator was added:

Then I put the euro bumper on, so my exhaust stuck out a good 6 inches. I went back to the shop, and had them cut it down. This was trip 3. I went back the next week, because when they welded the tip back on they did a poopy job, so that was trip 4. Trip 5 was this weekend, when they replaced the flex pipe. I'm glad, because it took a lot of the raspiness away that I can hear at higher revs.

As for the bearings, I didn't do anything yet. I only drive 10 miles a day to work. I'll try to drive the car home in a few weekends when I don't have any plans. I'm doing research on brands of wheel bearings... any suggestions? The National's lasted about 10k. The Timken's lasted about 4k. The nationals that I bought actually got crappy reviews, but the timkens had great reviews. I'm leaning towards the Moog's right now: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/moog-hub-assemblies-front-wheel-hub-repair-kit-518510/15050231-P

*I guess you're going to have to copy and paste the YouTube links, since the videos aren't showing up for me.

Some small updates:

-Headlights aren't in still.
-Picked up an SVT sub/amp enclosure for $25 from my buddy. I'll add this to the list of things I need to install. Lol
-A "surprise" if this deal goes through... last time I mentioned it in this thread, it jinxed me. I'll let you know what it is when I get it. :D

I may be parking my car for winter. WUT WUT you say? It's a possibility.... My dad sent me a text the other day saying I need to drive the escort over winter. At first I was like nah, but I think about it more and more every day... and now I'm kind of like, why not?

My dad has a 1998 Escort Zx2 that's been his beater car driving to Ford and back every day. It's been a great car. He hit a deer with it, and a tree hit us one time while driving. No problems what so ever. I believe he replaced 2 wheel bearings 50k ago, and he just replaced the ball joints last month. I want to say he bought it in 08 or 09, so its been 6 years or so of greatness. We fly around the yard with it and jump it sometimes. Its a blast. It feels way torquier than my car up until 50 or so. I know the motors are the same, but the zx2 is lighter. Oh and the exhaust sounds amazing.... kinda not fair. Part of the exhaust broke off awhile back (free "mod") and it sounds amazing. While I'm over here spending money on mine and it still has some raspy notes.... lol Anyways, I'd park my car at my parents place. It would still be outside I'm assuming, but I'd put a cover on it. I'd probably be more motivated to do things to it. If its parked, more things can't go wrong with it. I'd start it every weekend I was over there too.

I just feel like my car isn't nice enough to be parked over winter. It's got plenty of blemishes in the paint and dents, she is nowhere near a show car. I've always had pride driving my car year round. I want to put as many miles on it as I can, as stupid as that sounds. I love it when people look at it and go "that has 150k on it??" (because that's a lot for some people I guess. haha) I want people to ask that same question some day, except with 300k. But on the other hand, I'd save money on insurance. The gas would be about the same, maybe more since my car gets great MPG. I'd save driving it over winter and accumulating miles, which is supposed to be a good thing. :p

So yeahhhhh. The escort is ugly, efficient, roudy, moderately quick for a 4-banger, but I love it. It's got a huge "eff you" personality. It knows its a cheap beater but doesn't care. I think I'm going to drive it this weekend and see how it feels compared to my car. If I feel it's a good idea, I'll call Allstate and see how much cheaper the Escort would be to drive than the Focus.

Thoughts?

Be careful falling into the beater trap, I bought Rusty with the intention of having a beater. Now a year and $ later, she no longer counts as a beater and I have two long dream mod lists that I don't have enough time for. [hihi]

In seriousness, I'd go for it. You'd be amazed on what you can get done on your Zx3 when you don't have to worry about keeping it road worthy for the next day. Plus, it will give you peace of mind knowing that you have a spare car on hand if your DD breaks down. I know because I've been there. A lot.

#1,443 ·
That's true! I figured that since it would be parked, I could do some longer projects and take my time, and not have to worry about hurrying up to finish to drive back home. Oh and I know the escort won't turn into a project, because its pretty dang ugly. haha It's still dented from the deer too. We had a skull glued to the hood for a few years, but a big bird dive bombed my dad while he was driving it, and shattered the skull... it was cool and funny. lol

Oh and my headlights came in just now!!! They're soooo shinnnnny. I hate chrome, but this will be one piece of chrome that I shall be okay with. I hope.

You need to get a picture of the headlights for us!! Eh Ive seen uglier, so you are sure the mod bug won't hit loL?

Not needing will be nice and I am sure the lower insurance will make up for having to spend more on gas.

#1,446 ·
Slammed with a carbon fiber hood? Your not feeling it?
Don't give me ideas. Lol That actually doesn't sound terrible.... the wheels are from the 95 escort GT we had before this btw. Other than that, she stock yo!

Here's a pic of the headlights:

They weren't worth fixing. Lol They needed a headlight restoration kit, and badly. They needed to be taken apart and cleaned out, because they are missing the back covers. The weather stripping on the outside of the headlights is peeling and partially missing. The passenger side wiring inside the headlight is screwed up- the wiring melted the low beam holder so I've been driving with my high beams on since May. Dustin Ewers is buying them from me next time we get together, so if anyone can make them better, he can. Lol

Wow, I finally found your build thread. I wish i had the time to keep mine updated lol
I actually just got an email from a guy asking about MPG, and I think he has an SPI. He lives near Cinci, so I told him to join Focus Xtreme and ask for you so you guys can talk SPI. Lol It's FreeFocus. FreeFocus if you see this, djwrg04 is David.

I saw this car before when I was heading down old shep on my way to work (@GE). Definitely caught my eye, nice looking car man!
Thanks man! That sounds familiar! I think you said that on Instagram... I run the Focus Xtreme account on there, which reminds me I never checked to see what you said back. Lol Are you a part of Focus Xtreme? Romaczx3 doesn't sound familiar... You should definitely join if you haven't already! We need more active people.

So I installed the wheel bearing yesterday! Everything is smooth as glass again, besides the occasionally smacking sound... it feels like my passenger side strut is loose. Is it possible it could loosen itself up? The road I live on does feel like driving over potatoes. And not in a good way. I only did the front right wheel bearing by the way. Not surprisingly, Ken Towery's lied that both the front bearings were bad. Lol So now I have an extra one I need to return. I also installed my new headlights. I need to aim them though. But I have low beams and I can actually use my foglights again! lol

Question for anyone who sees this. When my friend gets done moving, I'm going to be buying his K-sports for my car. But it just hit me... He has a MK1.5 Hatch. (Not sure on the exact year.) and mine is an 01.... so is it possible for them to even work? I know there's an Omni kit for the mk1.5 hatches to fit mk1 coilovers, I didn't know if there was a kit for the other way around
