My area runs a slush series all winter long, and the last one a week ago actually was pretty miserable. We had a bunch of snow that started to melt, but then it all froze up the night before the event so badly that it was hard to walk without slipping and falling. We couldnt have workers on course, so we ran exhibition runs for the morning with no time and no one to chase cones. By lunch, the driving line was mostly thawed. After 1 hour of lunchtime shoveling by 10 volunteers, we had a wide driving line and could continue with the timed event.
by far the smallest lot we have ever used, next event in a few weeks will open up a bit, ill obviously post tons more this season, you know how i roll. and my sponsors will like it too. more info on that in a build ill start up next week here in the autocross section.
nice you fixed it, thanks.
at 43 seconds you can see i pulled a one hand turn around. i had the hardest time with this element. it was a 4 or 5 cone slalom right into a turn around and another 4 or 5 cone slalom out. but the turn around required a down shift.
Here are runs from our first event of the year with the Cincinnati SCCA. The car is a BSP E36 M3. This was also my first time on r-comps. I finished 24th out of 114 in raw and 26th out of 114 in pax.
Intake, header, exhaust, camber plates, koni yellows, h&r race springs, svt rsb, torsen lsd, 4:06 gears, short throw, cage, gutted, sparco evo 2 seat, g force 5 points. I wish I had interior in it so I can run it in SMF like my other car.
Here is a collage of some pics a relative of mine took of me and my car at one of the last auto-x's I was able to make it to. Wasnt able to run any more that summer due to money issues, then the car broke, and I'm just now getting time to finish getting it back together. But it is coming back with more goodies than before. I'm going to need all I can get if I wanna beat my buddy's 89 SHO.
Here's my fastest time from Sundays event. I'm still learning the limits of the car. i actually spun into the finish on my first run [headbang]
this car gets better and better every event.
Ran on some 205/45/16 A6's in FSP with open diff. Had major problems putting power down, but otherwise a fun day. I really need that Torsen ASAP. Run starts at 0:30
Results: 1st in class, 18th pax, 22nd raw, out of 72 entries
First autocross in my 2011. I took second place in H Stock so I think that's pretty good for my first time out in FWD. It had also just rained and the course had lots of puddles. I was 2nd to an AWD Suzuki SX4, lol. Cheater!
Had my first autox of the year and what a blast it was. i forgot to turn on the camera for my fastest clean and dirty runs. here's a vid of my second fastest run.
6th pax, 16th raw out of 60 drivers.
I got a needless cone on my fastest run that would have got me 2nd in pax[scream] I'm an ok driver but the pax for stf makes me look better than i really am [8D]
