SVT Timing Belt Change?
I had a zx2, which had the VCT on the exhaust side, I have changed timing belts on the cars with ease, I would rotate everything with the factory belt on to TDC set the bar in the back of the cams, and then remove the belt and re-install the new belt and tighten the adjuster.
My Question is, My SVT will need a belt shortly, my question is, could I rotate it all to TDC set the bar in the back and then remove the belt and re-install the new belt and tighten the adjuster? |

so let you propose this.
roll everything to TDC, install peg, install cam locking tool, remove timing belt, then re-install everything. |

Read this: http://www.dj-sures.com/GraphicFiles...%20Timing.html
And this: http://forums.focaljet.com/ford-svt-...ols-ready.html The consequences of NOT doing it correctly are very severe, and very expensive! Good luck. |

^^wut??
review the links in mainest's post. They will help explain the procedure. It is also in your best interest to install new timing pulleys as well |
