03 SVT ticking?.....

to me from what i know all svt's have a rattle sound sometimes when idling and the clutch not engaged, when engaging the clutch the rattling goes away? if so thats normal, doesnt affect, and wont affect anything.

I'm thinking it might be my throw out bearing. My car is all stock except for springs and a k&n intake. My Subaru made the same noise when the throw out bearing started to go bad. Its not consistent either. Sometimes it's really bad an sometimes it's not.

Alright I guess I'll leave it alone. It sounds like someone it tapping the Trans with a hammer on idle when my foot is off the clutch. Only sometimes though. If that's. Normal, then I'll leave it alone. Thanks guys

Without knowing what the ticking sound like exactly, I can't say if it's normal or not. The injectors on the SVT motor are quite noisy however, making the car sometimes sound a bit like a diesel. It's a constant and fast ticking type noise at idle.

This sound only occurs when my foot is off the clutch on idle. But it's intermittent. Like a rattling sound in the transmission linkage area

youre fine! dual mass clutches are loud... svts is not that bad. I had a comp clutch stage 4, six puck clutch kit in my old genesis and you could hear the clicking rattle from blocks away.

try going through the drive though at mcd's. you can really hear it as the left side of the car is near the buidling wall
