So I started my turbo build. Using and SPA manifold, t3t04e turbo. Tial wastgate and BOV. 60 lb injectors, 2.5 inch intercooler piping. 3 inch blow through MAF tube. 3 inch exhasut all the way back. Just had a question about the J&S everyone talks about. does everyone with a turbo run this safegaurd? The car is not going to run any longer than to make sure nothing leaks and drive on the trailer to go to the dyno to get tuned. Ill post pics later of the progress.
Huh well it's always something. I guess ill work on moving it. How far from the throttle body elbow should it be? I would like to just cut the pipe before the BOV and move the section towards the IC. Then put a section of 3 inch after the maf.
maf housing is moved farther from the turn for the throttle. new down pipe and dump tube are in place. hf cat removed. New oil return line. Powdercoated all the charge pipe, oil pan, valve cover and ceramic coated the manifold, dp, and mid pipe. Getting ready to run lines for the catch can. What is the recommended way to run a proper pcv setup on a boosted zetec. I'll post some pics this week.
I got cfm's pcv delete. I am running that to the catch can. For proper venting and to keep from having un-metered air in the engine I am going to run and line form the catch can to the intake manifold. When you do this there needs to be a boost sensative pcv valve or check valve of some sort in that line to keep boost pressure from going back through the catch can and into the crank case. I am also going to run a line from the valve cover breather to the intake pre turbo.
