Hey all,
I have a 2002 spi, automatic w/ about 93k miles on it. A few weeks ago I started to notice this strange sound coming from the front end.
When I start the car it immediately starts to idle really high. When I start driving I notice this weird rumbling/knocking noise that's coming from the front end of the car. It seems to be around the center of the axle or maybe even a little to the right. It's intermittent though and only occurs like every few seconds when accelerating. It also only occurs when driving straight and making right turns. When I turn left the sound disappears. Also, if I've been driving for ~20 minutes then turn the car off and then turn the car back on the sound seems to go away or at least it's not as noticeable.
I'm stumped on this one. I'm thinking it might be some kind of worn joint, but I'm not really certain. Any help would be really appreciated.
