Yep, you need at least one motor mount. I recently changed all three mounts in my 2007 SES:
How To Replace Engine Mounts On A 2007 Ford Focus

In addition I would go over the electrical system: Battery, Alternator, Alternator drive belt, cables and connections.

Also run a code check, pending codes can be useful.

If the indicator says your stock air filter is ok, you might want to leave that until after you have solved the shudder problem.

Good luck

Yes, the AF indicator is green w/ no movement... and a pass side mount is ordered.

Thanks

VERY happy to report the "shudder" is gone and the rear view mirror shakes no more after replacing the pass mount with an OEM mount.

I found and referred to this vid from another thread...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_r0Jh294FM

In the vid, the mechanic mentions the tools needed to perform the swap. The tools needed for the swap in my 06 differed in that I needed an 18mm deep well instead of the 19mm he states (2 motor side bolts). The 10mm socket required for the coolant overflow does not need to be a deep well. Also, the 8mm 12 point socket and 18mm wrench (he states 19mm) are only necessary if the stud comes out of the engine block as in the vid (fortunately, mine didn't).

The car jack with a 2x4 worked fine to lift the motor.

I'll clean the MAF next but it's running like new now. THANKS!

It needs to link to a web hosted jpg or similar file. You linked to http://www.flickr.com/photos/9139346...in/photostream and this isn't a single picture. So if you had gone to your flickr and picked a size (I picked large) and then right (or command) clicked on the photo you could have copied the link and then put it in the photo bracket like this (IMG]http://somewebsite.com/somephoto.jpg [/IMG) but with square brackets on both ends
