No more Tanner Foust

I just heard news that Rally car driver Tanner Foust is no longer with Ford. He is now with Volkswagen with a Beetle. Is anybody else saddened by this news? I guess anybody would do anything for money. I thought he was committed to Ford. He is also with Rockstar.

He's professionally driven, Subarus, Nissans, Scions, Fords, and Now VW. Contract was up and someone else offered him something else, at the end of the day its all about business, not brand loyalty.

Also the fact he gets new stuff. They will give him TONS of new things to do and try.
What is not to like?
Few are loyal to anything anymore.. All sports are like that. Why expect it. i bet the guys who liked him BEFORE he went to Ford may have been grumbling too.
No problem.
Should be interesting to see what he starts up with at VW.

I'm not bothered by this, its a business and he needs to go where he can get the most...whether that's money, support or branding. The one time I met him and got a few minutes to talk to him he seemed like a decent guy, still humbled enough to have a regular conversation with me.

Besides, who knows what was going on negations wise (i havent read anything) it could have been mutual or one sided (ford or faust.)

Tanner can drive the snot out of anything, this will be a big boost to the Beetle and VW in general here in the US.

If he wants to look like a doofus in a bug, that's fine with me. A job is a job.

You have to remember that he loves driving. So what ever brand wants to give him a full race team for another year, he will take it. I love my Ford, but if Chevy said we will sponsor you for a full year to do what you love, then I would take that offer. Also, I think VW has seen the way he was with Ford and want that kind of spokesman for their brand. I think its Fords loss and VW's gain. As a Global Rally Cross fan I love seeing more brands besides Ford in the game. So I see it as a way for Ford to really show off how good their Fiesta is!
