i would only pay between $20,001-$23,000. only runs to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds......motor trend has the srt-4 running it in 5.5 seconds, so it needs to be priced on level or less than that. looks better inside and out compared to the Cobalt SS and Srt-4......but they need to bring the performance up to par or lower the price below these if they want them to sell.......that just my $0.02

Assuming Ford NA wouldn't do something silly like water it down... I'll vote 23-26k. I agree with lowery's points, it's certainly prettier than both those cars.

I say 23 or a little above because the SVT had an MSRP of a little over 20 (depending what you optioned out on it), and this has a turbo and seems just a bit more upscale.

They would NEED to make that stunning orange color available too!

LOL, well i gotta say, your ST is nothing compared to the ST225 or xr5, that car has pwned mustangs (2005+ gt's) 350z's, beemers and all stuff it is fast... and very upgradable, since it already has a turbo.

i live in mexico and you can have it here, its about 26,000 US dollars and up (with no credit), so it can go even higher

the ST focus in europe has a really gorgeous interior. they are on par with most entry model BMWs. the focus in europe is a much more expensive car. if they brough it over here with identical quality interior/performance it would most likely run run 25-28K

I would PAY 15-17k for it, so the MSRP should be around 21-22k dollars. It is basically the ZX3 with a different design (a better one to say the least) + a turbo. I payed 14.4k for a fully loaded 05 so a fully loaded MK II ST should be around 17k after negotiations and offers and all the other nonsense.

i just dont get it, everyone wants more power from this thing. its a 5 cyl turbo charged. 225 BHP. from a HATCHBACK. for 20-23K, that seems like plenty enough power. and if you put as much money into it as I see alot of people doing to say an SVT, you could probably get it close to 300.

it's a new chassis, extra cylinder, turbo, and luxury quality interior.

you're on drugs if you think ford would only charge 15-17 for it

I think 20k-23k sounds reasonable. I'd say 24k-27k if it was all wheel drive, but it's not if I'm not mistaken. I love a car with control, and it looks like this car just enough boost to make it fun. Easier to tinker with for speed. Love the new interior.

Just so everyone knows, here are some highlights...
ST comes with bluetooth technology, voice activated climate control, and GPS navigation. It has recaro 10-way adjustable heated seats, heated front windshield, MP3 player and Xenon headlights. 6-speed transmission, folding side mirrors, 4-piston brake calipers up front. Keyless ignition and doors (and I'm not talking with a remote control). And there's a 4-dr option.

24,000. because I'm not gonna pay a similar price to that of a mustang GT. Part of why I like my focus so much is that it an economy car, that really outperforms everything on its level. If you put it in a "higher weight class" it doesn't shine as much.
