Yeah, I figured either an insurance box to track driving habits or a dealership "kill box." I had a Honda a few years ago. Got it through the dealership and financed through the dealership. Had to made payments weekly since I get a check every week and if it wasn't paid by the next Tuesday of each week they killed the starter in the car. The box was mounted under the steering wheel behind the kick panel. Hit a deer in the little Honda hatch and totaled it. It was an okay car too. Only 60k miles and was a 2000 model. I like my Focus wayyyyyyy better though. Even though I've had a lot more problems out of it. lmao

OP, did you do a search on it to see what it was?

I did do a search online, came up with nothing. so I am guessing it is a GPS dis-abler thing from a dealer like some of you guys mentioned. Once I cut it off the harness it was spliced into and connected the wired directly everything worked fine.

So all is well that ends well thanks for the help FF 'ers. Cheers

p.s. if anyone wants a tracking black box to mess around with i can send it to you :)

I'm going with everyone who said it's a remote disabler, since it was connected to your clutch wiring. Except I'll make a bet that it's not GPS but works on a cellular network, which is why it has a SIM card an an antenna connection. Not that it matters, really. It looks and sounds like an expensive piece of hardware, you should try selling it .

I'll take it just to mess with lol. Kinda curious now that I've had experience with it.

I want to know what it is before i take it off, i have already taken out the sim card just in case. The lights on it are always on as well.

I think it's a gps put on by your wife or lover to keep tabs on yaw.
