Focus G2G Sept 16th at Mid-Ohio

NASA is having its 1st Annual National Run-offs at Mid-Ohio this year from September 12-17, and it also coincides with the completion of the first year of the Spec Focus series.

It would be great to get a group of us Focus owners that are somewhat local to show up and show our support not only for fellow Focus drivers, but also to the powers-that-be within Ford.

I'm thinking that we'd meet up around 3ish on September 16th and hang out for a few hours. The qualifying race for Spec Focus is at 4:40, but there will be qualifying races going on all day Saturday. The championship races are on Sunday, but I have to be at work when the Spec Focus race is going on. :(

Mid-Ohio is fairly centrally located on the outskirts of Lexington, Ohio.

I realize that its the weekend before FITF, but I think this would be a great opportunity to come hang out with the Spec Focus guys and watch some great racing. I believe that it costs nothing to get into the racetrack to spectate, but someone may know otherwise. I'll post if I find something out.

These people will be there throughout the weekend, as racers and spectators.

Leo Capaldi said something about kind of hosting at his rig, so I'm not sure what all he has in mind, but we'll at least have a central hanging point for Focus people. The couple of times I've gone to see his group, it seems like they have a pretty active social presence.

It would be nice to have some You guys at the Mid Ohio Nationals on that weekend. I will be willing to help/support with because it would be nice to show the Ford Racing people that committed to the Focus series that they are getting some Focus/Fantics/FJ member support?

I am all most positive it is $10 but I will verify. Everyone is encouraged to stop by the LCR / Ford racing pit in the main paddock and check out the Spec Focus cars introduce your self chat and have a refreshment. We plan on a barbeque or something once we see what day ( it is looking like Saturday afternoon ) everyone wants to have a G2G at the trailer.

I'll find out for sure. There's some question on this, because I thought it was $25 for the 4 days... But there could be a $10 weekend pass as well.

I'll be there Saturday weather permitting (will have the kids w/me).

Maybe we can have a scavenger hunt for the bottom half of my #4 Eagle rod I left in turn #1 this past April. That's the bottom HALF of the rod ... not the cap (which was in the pan).

If anyone going wants a harness bar please let me know and I can bring it with me ... saving you the shipping expense.
