Prothane Rr Sway bar bushings for SVT

Prothane has released a new kit for the rear sway bar of a SVT Focus! This kit will upgrade the bar bushings and the endlinks on the rear sway bar of your SVT Focus. Made for the 21mm, stock rear SVT bar.

This would also be great for those that have installed the SVT suspension kit on a standard Focus.

Made for the 21mm rear bar!

Will not fit the 20mm stock rear bar as used on many "standard" Focus....there is a different kit for that application.

Tony, Are the bar bushings cut to fit the flat spots on the sway bar or are the holes in the bushings completely round?

They are round, like all urethane bushings for sway bars. Just like the ones sold with the Progress bar or the ones sold for the stock 20mm bar.

ok Tony D any idea on what kind of improvments to expect? and does any one have these to give feed back compared to a stock set up?

Eliminating rubber and replacing it with urethane components eliminates the "softness" and makes the stock bar more effective....there is little "lost motion" that you experience with the stock rubber. Rubber is a great isolator, but it gives too much for immediate response. It also deteriorates at a faster rate.

A more effective rear bar will help to rotate the car more in a corner...it is not as big a change as installing a larger rear bar, but a step in that direction. Only downside is you will hear/feel a little more road noise.

This kit is to be used with the 21mm rear sway bar that comes stock on the SVT Focus. So if you buy the Ford Racing SVT Suspension kit, this Prothane sway bar bushing kit would complement it nicely.
