Lock Switch Lights!!
Ok I'm not the kind of person that likes to halfass stuff. I took apart my lock switch and sure enough there is a LED in there. No power to it though. Anyone know what leads on the switch need current to them to get these to light up? And am I the only one that doesn't have these lit up?
I searched the threads and came up with an old one where they were saying there isn't a LED in the switch. That is a farse (at least on the 02 SVT). It is a 3mm green LED I'll be replacing it with a 5mm so it will be just as bright as the red powertops I have in the stereo and other switches. |

I found this little tutorial about wiring up the LED's in the power lock switches a little while ago. I haven't actuallyu done it, but it seems like a good project for this winter.

That's cool!
Are the switch lights on all the time as in "key" activated, or are they only on when the lights are on? Just never checked in the daylight myself to see if they are always on. Hmmm. I wonder if there's LED's in the cruise control switches too.

always on with the key. I'll have to take a look at the cruise control but i think yhose are painted white with no lights.

Just did it and the picture is a little confusing for my model. I had to run the positive or "hot" wire to the solid green wire. It's one up on the same side as the one that the picture shows.
