No it does not just pop out. Once you remove the stereo head unit, you will find 4 small screws. Remove the screws and it will pop out (also held on by 3 metal clips that will pop out).

This 'HOW TO' was copied off of FocusCanada by member GUILTY who is also on FF.com
Tools needed: DIN removal tools 7mm socket phillips screwdriver Process: 1. Remove stereo Insert DIN removal tools into holes on deck Pull radio out (I found it easier to push on the deck from behind the dash) Unplug antenna wire and all wiring harnesses 2. Remove 4 x 7mm hex screws from the corners of the stereo opening 3. Remove ashtray and cigarette lighter 4. Pull bezel from stereo opening, popping the two top clips, then bottom 5. Unscrew Hazard button LED (2 screws) 6. Unplug cigarette lighter 7. Unscrew HVAC control (4 screws) 8. Unscrew Defrost buttons (3 screws) (not necessarily in this order) [u]Pictures:[]/u] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Awesome. Thanks.
I needed that, mine is cracked from where the jackass who owned it before tried to pry the stock stereo out with a screwdriver. Replacing with a black one from the SVT.

No problem, the original link that I posted, I guess you have to be a member of FC.net to get access to it. Didn't know that. Thanks again....

Thanks for posting that, S2. FocusSalvage has a black one for 20 bucks used, and I'm about to tear that up! If it's scuffed up, I'll repaint it myself. I thought you had to take apart the whole dash to get the radio bezel.

Do you do the same thing to get the '05 bezel out, or is there some sort of special trick to it?
