wooooo, that took about 10 minutes to write up...so as you can see as my times went up so did my MPH so obviously the launches is what got me..i cant freakin get outa the 88MPH range..that seems to be the best i can manage, but all in all i am happy with what i have done to my car vs. my times, sure better than 90% of the zetec's out there, i was hopping for 14s but i understand why i didnt get them, there are a few more ponies laying on the table via flexpipe, bigger catback, and better tuning that could land me 14s but this is good enough..i am done modding my car anyway, put thousands in it as it is so i think for an economy car 15.2 is a decent time..i will still bring it to the track all the time, but with 55k miles on it, i dont wana push my luck with anymore serious mods...its late, happy daylightsavingsday, goodnight

Good times. Your runs were very consistant. I dont often see people run within 2 tenths of their times every run.

yea i was happy with the times, we were out there all damn night, it was open till 2am and a load of fun, i couldnt stop runnin, damn bout ran outa gas haha..as for mods here they are

-volant
-421 fc header
-welded on magnaflow catback
-screamon deamon coil and livewires
-fc 65mm tb
-fc udp
-mcnews chip
-ford racing stage II cams
-esslinger cam gears
-rear dogbone motor mount
-15" slipstream rotas

in addition to that i did a bit of actual drag prep...40psi in rear 30psi in front tires, popped hood for better air flow, gutted interior besides passenger seat, empty tank and was on the performance setting on my computer chip (usually just run egr delete) ..and i was shoeless

my first run scared the hell outa me, i couldnt believe it when i hit a 2.2 60' foot, it actually gripped instead of spinning and hopping

for my mods i dont think the times can get anybetter, if i had a flexpipe, more aggressive cams (crower II's) and perhaps some suspension work i could dip into the 14s but with my type of cams i dont know anyone on here that has done that so gooder enough

the only way you will get out the 88 mph range with your current mods is more timing and less fuel in the upper RPMs through your tune or taller tires/rims. I am happy to see that with a better 60', I can do almost as good as someone with more mods than me when the time comes to run my car again The only thing hindering me is 53K on the stock clutch, resulting in slippage. But my tune has been update since my last run and it feels a lot stronger than my 15.77 run

less fuel (leaner A/F), more air being sucked in at a faster rate (higher RPM) along with more timing = more horsepower. More or less, you just need more timing in upper RPMs since your shifts at WOT don't drop below 4 grand - to get your mph up.

cool stuff, im a tard when it comes to tuning, wish i could self tune...as for my 60', seems the stocker a car is the better 60' it has, theres a 2.0D on here that hit a 2.23 bone stock so i guess i have a bit more wheel spin than i think...trust me, when you get more mods your 60' will go up

yea, after I threw on the header/cat/flex and the cool-flo...I couldn't cut under 2.4 lol, but my tires were wearing bad anyway and they were 40 profile on 17in rims.

Further proof that good times are in the first 60 feet.

Nice times.
