HEY THATS MY PIC UP THERE!!!!! lol.....i was like "wait a minute" yeah, i bought that and sold it because of the gasket problem and no one told me until after i sold it. it was the wrong shade of red anyway, now i kinda want to get another one thats stripped down so i can match paint it the correct red.

lol my bad, yeah its your picture but i keep using it as if its mine cause i didnt take any pixs when i did the swap and mine looks exactly like that.

Don't forget you can use black RTV to seal the valve cover to the top of the head...cheaper than spending $40+ at the dealer for a new gasket, and it lasts a lot longer than the POS gasket...its what they use to seal the pan to the bottom of the block, and how many leaks have you heard of there?

true but i dont know if you have looked at one of these contour valve covers. they are not flat all the way around. in fact they have 2 half circle arches that move up away from the head which is filled in with the gasket. i, personnally, would prefer a gasket to do that than a big clump of RTV.
