Unhappy TRACK: Ran my car...dissapointing.....

ran my car in Evadale, Texas....it was hot too......I ran from about 1:30 to 5:00.....

Tmes......
16.4
16.3
16.03
16.2
16.1....

and others....all within 16.03 - 16.4......

I wanted to break into the 15.8's......but alas....not happening.....I ran 9 times.

Track was pretty good, nice and sticky...

I have the slips, but since it wasn't a CRAZY fast time...I am not going to post them, unless you want to see the 60ft, reaction tiimes, 1/8the, all that stuff..
IHRA track, didn't show temp, pressure, or humidity....

my average 60ft time was about 2.5.....fastest was 2.3, slowest was 2.8.....I suck on launches, but I was getting better........(i need a 2.2 or better.....)

I was shifting at 7,000 at first, then I went to 7,100 for a few, and got slower, so I backed it back to 6,900 - 7,000.....I forget what is the best RPM to launch at......

My shifts were all good.....felt good.....

I did a little tire spin after the box to get the rubber opff my tires....

I need a motor mount too....so that probably wasn't helping me on shifts or launch....

Oh, yeah, I tried launches from 2,000 to 3,300....I liked the 3,000RPM lauch or 2,800RPM ones the best, didn't bog (since we bog below 2,500 normally at takeoff.....yeah everyone knows that)......

I think the bad motor mount coupled with a somewhat boggy launch and the HOT air prevented me from reaching the high 15.'s......

I tried to include all my thoughts on this...tell me what you think...

I may go back before the month is over...and hopefully with a new motor mount and short shifter this time....maybe even a high flow cat.....

GOOD news = BOST the '94 cobra and the SC grand Am didn't make it back running.....cobra blew his rear, FIRST run, at the line, and the Vortec SC'ed Grand AM GT snapped his shaft for the SC on the way home....he was running 15.0 - 14.7's all day.......

FOCI brought me home!!!!!!
