auto tranny drag launches

I have a 2000 zx3 with an automatic transmission. I plan on taken it to the 1/4 strip this summer.
Does any one have advice for lauching an automatic off the line? I've seen lots of advice for manuals but no autos. From what I've read alot of people seem to lauch at around 3750 RPMs.

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to improve automatic performace? I know a diablo speed chip can mess around with the shift points in an auto, but I have no idea if there is any real gain in performance. Any one know?

I also plan on switching to synthentic tranny fluid in a month or so, just out of personal preferance. There are also "performance" blend transmission fluids out there, but I heard some can be harmful for the transmission and dont do much anyway, any truth to this?
