Thanks. It's very different to what I thought it would be. I had never raced before in my life, and I had never even driven this car hard until that day. Even as I pulled in that morning, I was wondering what I was doing at a racing competition. Turned out to be a hell of a day. I'm definitely going back, but like you, I'm not running the Homestead events. So I think that leaves me (us) out of the next 3 or 4?
I notice the guys in 1st and 3rd place are the same ones who beat me. We might have a little bit of arch-rivalry going on, so that will be kind of cool. I'm always wondering how much faster I could have gotten on that day, and what other factors played into my placing. And now to add the same guys/ same cars to my class for the next times throws a little bit of flavour into the mix. The soup thickens! |

You guys should really try to make it to the Homestead Runs. The track layout really suits our cars.
It's smoother (No LSD? Well, this fact will help you a little then!), More full direction changes (Not unlike Bank Atlantic Center), and the grip level is much greater since cars and go karts run that parking lot all the time. I know it may be a bit of a stretch but trust me it's worth it. Besides, driving there early in the morning is no big deal, NO TRAFFIC!. If you guys don't go, I guess I'll see you in April, first 3 events are scheduled for Homestead.
