Thumbs down Ebay - exotictruck-auto

Exotic truck auto sells K&N intakes for the Focus on Ebay. STAY AWAY! I don't think they have heard of the term "customer service" and you are lucky to get the right part. I ordered a K&N typhoon system for my ZX5 on 10/29 and received a 2005 Mustang Air Filter yesterday (11/8/05). Instead of correcting the problem imediately, they refused to send the right part until they received the Mustang filter from me. Now I have to pay shipping to get it back to them unless I'm willing to wait 2 weeks for them to send me a shipping voucher. With any luck, I'll get my typhoon system sometime later this month. STAY AWAY...the discount is not worth the hastle!!

Dude that sucks, thanks for the heads-up though. I can understand them not wanting to ship another item out before the first is back though, a lot of Not shady, customer-driven companies do this. There are people out there who wouldn't return the faulted piece and that's a liability.

But if you haven't already, DON'T pay to ship the thing back. How much is it like, 10 bucks? They're counting on you to absorb the cost, but why give them the satisfaction. Granted you might want the intake, I know I'm impatient.

But I'm sure they say it takes 2 weeks for the voucher Just so people will give in and send it on their own dime. If I can get my registration from the DMV in less than 2 weeks, ANY business can send a "shipping voucher", whatever that means. It's like offering trial subscriptions and stuff, they bank on people forgetting or not bothering to call and cancel.

Don't give in, request your voucher and wait for it.
