^^ what he said, theres plenty of market here, think acura/honda too, plenty of hatches sell well, but as also mentioned, ford would probably not try and take a vehicle thats already established as targeted at the budget demographic and add on another 10k. especially after the svtf, even though they have to know they didnt market that car for crap

You have to realise that over in Europe, if you own a Focus you're doing fairly well for yourself.

Personally, i see this car as being less on par with the SRT's or Cobalt SS's but more with the Civic SI's and the Scion Tc's, that being said, i would only be willing to Pay no more than 21.5k, simply because it's a better focus and it's bound to give the competition a run for there money, but it doesn't blow them out of the water, so it's not worth my 25k(Off Topic: especially considering for 25k you can get an Rx-8) so yea, my 2 and 1/2 cents

No I'm talking both, if you've seen the inside of the entry level (ie 3 series, g35, a4) luxury cars, they are on par with the focus ST. Unless you pay a shitload of extra money for their wood grain options, you're getting the same material. Again, keep in mind in Europe the focus ST comes between 31 and 35 thousand dollars, and one of the first options is to get all leather on those recaros. It's on par with luxury interiors because it's in the same price range as the luxury cars. If you'd ever been inside a BMW 3, G35 sedan/coupe, or A4 that was 36K or under, you'd see what I was talking about. The truth is they really aren't impressive until you get into the 40K range.

Don't you think it's a little unfair to judge the quality of the ST's interior based on pictures or information from the net? It's entirely possible it looks nice in photographs and is not as impressive in real life. In other words, that it looks nice but perhaps there are "details" in real life that would pop up under closer inspection (cheap feeling/looking plastics, cheap feeling switchgear, uncomfortable seats, bad panel alignment, etc). It seems a little premature to say based on what it looks like, that it's comparable to entry-level luxury car interiors.

That interior is beautiful. Very well crafted. Saying that, the power is great, the handling is great, but you're asking $30K for it!!! I would only pay $23K for it.
