About to change the air filter as soon as it gets cooler. Was gonna just get an intake but that's not gonna be for another month or two so I may as well spend the 6 bucks to keep my car clean.

it's time to give the car another "once over"… I want the car took GREAT when we put in the PWSC this weekend. Weather was nice, so it's time of freshen the car up. I started with a good foam cannoning!!

foam cannon from Chemical Guys:

After that, car needed a GOOD clay barring, since it is a DD and has spent most of the summer outside.

This is Chemical Guys clay mitt:

an absolutely amazing product, makes claying your car SO simple and easy.

Up next, it's ready for polish. The car has a few imperfections, so my plan is to use some CG V34 to dial out any minor swirl marks or minor imperfections. Then I'll put on a layer of Blacklight Glaze to further hide/minimize the swirls/imperfections, giving the car's color a great "pop", then It's time for a sealant, I'm going with Extreme Depth with M Seal, and then closing everything out with a Butter Wet wax… long day!

All in all, the car came out great. It didn't need much, since I actually did wax the car at the beginning of the summer, but felt it needed a good cleaning. I'm on vacation now, so I have time to give the car some attention.

I also had some real issues with the front end. At 70K miles now, i'm also tempted to repaint the front end as it really, IMO, takes away front he overall cosmetic look of the car. I picked up a FLEX 3404 VRG rotary from a friend, and decided to polish the front clip. This has a LOT more power than my Griot's Random Orbital and really helped! I'm happy with the results.

All thats left now is to fill in a few stone chips around the car that have hindered my eyes as well. I really enjoy the look of this car, the Screaming Yellow really shines when taken car of properly. Thanks for looking!

Then to finalize everything… I put a coat of ZC-S which is a sealant made by Zaino… not bad stuff, it just takes a while to spread.

Clean the lint off the camera lens ... lol

So you like that mitt?
Seen that YouTube detailing guy talking about them and he sounded kinda impressed by them. Said he's still old school and likes to take lots of time. But that you could drop the mitt's on the ground, wash them and the grit and gunk washes off. That's pretty neat and a real selling point IMO.

Just clayed mine couple weekends ago. Forgot how much work it was. Didn't pick much up but sure did a number on my hard water spots ... and I found out it's the bees-knees on windows and water spots.

I've been contemplating Opti Coat --> http://www.autodetailingsolutions.ne...-coat-2-0.html
I'm getting to the point where I hate spending days detailing the car ... It's like every time I find a new chip or dent and it just makes me mad,,, should just say screw it and let it deteriorate and save for new paint. So something I only have to do every few months would calm me down, I think.
