I ended up with adding a new door jam rubber harness tube per door and ran fresh wires. I will be back home later today and get a few pics up of the install. It sounds really good! :)

Ahh yes, interested in this as well as to how you did it. Trying to do this to my MK1 running puddle lights to the mirrors. This is the only way I can see it, other than drilling another hole through the door.

This is the link to the loom/grommet I used.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used the empty grommet on the door jam for one end and ran the other side through the grommet of the door with the stock wires. I now have 2 looms but all is protected and unless you look, you will not notice it.

More photos of the full install to come.

I will follow up with some details tomorrow. Here is most of the door work. Fat mat,
6.5" MB Quart Reference woofers with Premium (6ohm) tweeters center mounted and run active on a JBL MS-8. Mb Quart Reference coaxial 5.25's in the rear also powered by the MS-8 hidden in the rear panel under the rear speakers.

Cables color coded for the JBL MS-8 and terminated for the Mb Quart Components.

Modified that stupid foam block in the door
