Fuse locations---Did I miss it?

I've been looking for something I thought would be very easy to find: something telling which fuse does what and where it is. Did I miss it?

I'd like to know which is the brake light light fuse on a 2002 Focus ZX5.

Check the backside of the fuse panel you removed. I'm pretty sure there's a grid that lists what each fuse goes to.

Here is another source for the info you want; your owners manual (in PDF) is online at this site ->

Yeah that would work great if they put words instead of symbols. Some of them I can guess at. I think the two (2) which look like a stick with a sperm above it is supposed to be a cigarette lighter (why there are two fuses for one lighter I have no idea). But what does the four (4) fuses with symbols of an exclamation point (!) in a triangle beside an open book laying on an open book control?

Not sure if your driving an SVT, but if you are, SVTs have two cigarette lighters:

One below the ashtray (to the left of the stereo.)
The second one is on the passenger side of the center console, down by the footwell.

The next one, based on your description, sounds like the hazard lights (triangle w/ the ! mark)

The open book is most likely your dome lights/reading lamps (hence the book icon). They (reading light & hazards) could be sharing a single fuse.

Incidentally, not all fuse sockets have a load (device) on it. I know my Zx3 had a lot of fuse sockets that werent wired to anything (ie: 2 cig lighter fuses) because it was a base model.
