Help with Fuel Door Hinge

First post on this forum. My wife's 2006 Ford Focus CL (Sedan) has had the hinge snap where her fuel door is. Can anyone please advise what part I need to replace the whole assembly? Also does anyone have any instructions on fixing this part. I have attached an image to show what is broken.

I have started looking through the forum but have not come up with anything yet. I did find this thread from a seperate forum, but not sure if would apply or not as it does look to be for a different focus

From what I can see here, you might need to remove that entire black trim with the screw in the pic and any other you may find and then either glue the pieces back together or have a ford dealership order you another one.

But again, this is just a suggestion based on the pics. Have a tech look at it if you haven't had it fixed yet

It should be just two or three plastic screws holding this in place. Once you remove those screws, you need to jiggle the assembly a lot in order to get it to come apart properly. Once you have it apart, you should be able to separate the fuel door from the rest of the assembly with ease. I also notice that you are in Australia, so you might be in an MK2 Focus which was not available to the North American market.
