Mk2 Gauge Cluster

Any one ever attempted, or even possibly succeeded, in putting a mk2 gauge cluster in a mk1 or 1.5? I don't even know if the hookups on the back are the same or not, and it doesn't look like it would even fit, but my curiosity did get the best of me.

I have the same question. I want to get rid of the stock look and put something 'sportier' if you will.

There might be a possibility for a duratec swap, we do know the MkI duratec & zetec clusters have different plugs.
