As for the resistors... IF you like the hyper blinking that will happen kudos to you. Mine still blink very fast and I think it is kinda funny. The LED doesn't give enough charge so the car thinks you have a light out which is why it does that. So if you don't mind the fast blinking it is just plug and play.
Any ideas about what ohm resistor to use and is it just placed directly into the positive side of the LED (one side of resistor to positive of car & other end to positive of resistor)? If so, I have no problems at all soldering that and covering it all in heat shrink.

You can use the search bar and I believe there is a thread for like "30 dollars and under mods", pretty creative stuff on there if you ever get bored.

My mats are great, I think like 80 bucks for the front, no one is in the rear so I don't worry about it, keeps the carpet so much cleaner and nicer looking.

Haha, I am by no means an electrician either, this forum has helped so many times its unbelievable. I put fog lights in my car and had to drill through the firewall, that made me very nervous, but it worked out as people had done it and I asked for help.

To tint the taillights, I just washed the car, then played it safe and took the taillights out. Taped off what I didn't want. Then sprayed light coats on it. How dark you want it depends on how many coats you put on and how heavy. Nightshade is about 13 dollars for a spraycan of it. Other people will use films, personal preference I believe. But nightshade will fade over time, 6 months-year. It is removable as well.

Doing things yourself saves so much money as well. Ive done my own oil changes and such for a while now. I save about 15 dollars and get the synthetic stuff.
Anything else let me know.
Can you offer any more insight into how you installed your footwell LED's? Which type of strips you bought? I'm trying to find other installation guides and have come up empty.

Thanks FreeFocus

So far I've got the following purchased:

New Center Console - Replace broken, old one
Wind Deflectors for Windows - See how they look
New Grill - Chrome Frame/Black Grill (thinking about painting frame black)
Black Headlamp Housings
Black Instrument Cluster Bezel Trim - (Try to add some black into the tan interior)
Blox 490 Gun Metal Shift Knob

To Do:
Paint Bottom of Bumper Black
Install Blue LED's into Footwells
Install LED's into Taillights
Shorten Antenna
Black Mats -or- Black Carpet (still thinking about that since both are great options)

Thinking About:
Asking Starfury to provide me with a blue LED instrument cluster/HVAC (worried about swapping out odometer's though - that will bother me)

Anything else? lol

If you buy them from superbrightleds.com, it will give you a product number for the resister that you would need with that specific bulb. Its nice you can put in your make and model and it will give you the bulbs that will fit.

It occurred to me that I bought by footwell lights from Oznium.com, very happy with them as well. Here is the ones that I bought http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux, then an add a fuse to anything in the fuse box. Very simple, the hardest part is finding somewhere to ground the wires to

Have you gone to a pick and pull yard to look for any of that stuff? I would say before you paint your bumper, get some black plastidip and see if you like it, if you do then you can peel the plastidip off and then paint it. If you do go for wind deflectors, go with in-channel ones, not the tape on.

Yeah the odometer would me too, there are how to's if you wanted to do it yourself though. Just have to search the right words.

What you have right now should last you awhile ha. The "what did you do to your car today" has some neat stuff in it as well.

Thanks for all of your help, FreeFocus.

Yeah, I made sure that they were in-channel ones.

I've searched online for local dumps to see what they offered and it wasn't much of what I was looking for. If I did find something it was actually more expense through them than on eBay (cluster bezel for example).

That's a good point about the plastidip. Although, I think if I take a pic of the front of my car and do some quick work in photoshop, it should give me a good idea of what I should expect.

I need to look up the "Under $30" thread you were talking about before. And look into the light setup you just mentioned.

Thanks for all of the support! I really am appreciative.

Ok, maybe if I get a chance later today, I'll post it up.

The main problem I have is the overall color of my car. I know I'm going to change the headlamps, grill, and bottom of front/back bumpers all to black. Headlamps and grill will be received in a few days.

Question: What's the best way to paint any chrome (no plasti-dip)? Same way as I would the bumpers? Sand/Prime/Paint/Clear Coat?

Interior is my main focus now. I have all of the materials, just got to get the time to take apart my cluster, work on that and install the LED's. Once it is all done I will get it all cleaned up and take some finished pics for the forum.

My gf is already happy with the minor mods I've done so far (black on the bumpers, black headlamps, black grill, new center console, new shifter and boot, swapped out the cluster bezel with a black one.

I'm still looking into tinting the back lights and installing LED's, debadging and fixing some scratches, knicks and dents. Otherwise, I'm getting there.
