Want to swap Cluster LEDS, worried about Odometer

I have an 07 SE, and I want to swap the cluster lights for green LEDS, but I know I need to disconnect the cluster to do that. Will it change the Odo reading or anything like that? I really don't want to do that.

Unhooking it won't change the mileage.

You can remove the instrument very easily. I think it was 3 7MM hex screws. This was an 2007 SE Wagon 2.3L Duratec engine and an automatic. I had one blown out panel bulb. I was carefull, removing it & bringing it inside placing it carefully on 2 blocks of wood. From there,,, learned a lot about them.
The "Reverse Glow" gauges that look like a lit up fish tank. I've read it only requires ONE new added wire.
One thing I tried. The cluster bulbs go into the plastic sockets. Those screw into the instrument cluster. You don't know looking at them. If you turn the bulb head or the plastic "Plug" the bulb plugs into. Wear gloves, no bare skin on the bulb vacuum.
Last Thing. I tried a 5MM or 6MM 1/4 Inch drive socket. It held the assembled bulb and socket. I used the socket loose, in my 3 fingertips. Then your just push and twist the socket into the back of the instrument cluster.
Sorry about the length,, but I learned more from my mistake. ChrisL
