Yeah I cant speak for those too much, I've owned the previous two generations and they go off.

Speaking of voodoo magic I had their bulbs in the map lights, and I seemed to be the only guy with working map light LEDs in a Focus. Well maybe not magic, but a bridge rectifier.

I can't get the LED strip in the trunk spliced into the stock bulb harness (MK3) to turn off. Tried various resistors.....just stays on. Sorry my trials couldn't help.
