Miller Motorsports Park is having opening day celebrations this weekend. You can do Autocross with SCCA if its your first time for only $15.

Sounds like they have helmets available to loan (that's that I will be doing, not sure on cost or availability....)

So if you have ever wanted to do an event its CHEAP for your first time. No extra cost for membership fees and the event is 1/2 off the first one.

I just signed up, due to my mods I am in Street Modified Front Wheel Drive... hope to see other Foci out there!

Website is: www.utahscca.com

I am trying to access it at work and my firewall is taking forever. you can go to the up coming events and there is a button to register.

it will take you to www.motorsportreg.com you need to create a profile and then you can sign up.

For first time cars:

"As far as registration goes, I would pick the class that most fits your car. Once at the event, you can proceed to registration and they are able to place you in the correct class. Topher and/or Ryan both work in registeration and are excellent sources of information when it comes to classing your vehicle. You may also want to ask those who tech your vehicle which class is most appropriate for your car."

If the utahscca.com site does not work for you either you can create an account through motorsportreg your self and then it will show you up coming events that are close to your address. the SCCA autocross solo should be 3rd down on the list.

It's not your firewall, the Utah SCCA website server is terrible. always has been.

have you seen the results? they're up.
I ended up 20th overall on Sunday. stayed dry unlike Saturday.

Never mind found it. They only post them up on the forum. Looks like I am 18th over all both raw and PAX. What is the PAX? Looks like its a modifier for each class to try to "level" them so you can remove the car from the driver?

Do they change the course from Saturday to Sunday? does not look like the times improved much on the dry vs the wet if it does.

Edit: saw a video uploaded of Sundays and looks like a completely different course. Interesting though how the times of Saturday's wet were about the same as Sunday's dry.

I might have to get a membership and do more events, my tires will hate me.

normally for two day events we run the course backward. this time Mike actually designed a new one. it was super tight and slow before the crossover and then it opened up a touch on the way back. that's probably why the times where slow Sunday.

yeah, PAX is like a golf handicap. stock is soft, XP is hard.

Tires shouldn't hate you too much since you have camber. I normally run one set of street tires a season and that includes daily driving. race tires on the other hand.. two sets a season. and that's co driven for both.

Do you know when the next event will actually be held? Looking at the schedule and hearing people last week it sounds like a few of the date had been canceled or put on held due to getting venues to sign up for it.

I only have camber in the front... need to get camber bolts for the rear to see if I can dial in at least 1deg in the rear. For the fronts I am only at 2.5 deg neg. I need to find time to adjust the top plates and lower arms so I can have 2-2.5 during daily driving and then dial in 3-3.5 by just adjusting the top plates.
