Pretty sure you mechanic is competent enough to,
1. find his own parts
2. be able to discern a part from any picture

Yeah he just needed the part number. My car has been out of commission because of this for over 6 months. It's also my first car and I love it. This just puts me closer to driving it. Thank you :)
