The led will come on randomly but it hasn't happened in a while. I got these off someone on her about a year ago! :/
Guess you could always risk opening them up yourself and checking around, or hire someone else to do it.

I have had that problem before. its just the Bulb because it uses a magnet to pull back to make the connection for the high beam light. i bet if you get out the next it does it a same whack on the headlight will put it back to low, i just got a new HID bulb.

Are you using Halogens or HIDs? I've had HIDs in them for the entire time they've been on my car, with the exception of 3 days (the HIDs were late getting to me). I've never had anything melt on me. I do have to replace a connector on part of the HID harness since it's 4 years old and was crud to begin with and now makes intermittent connections.
im using Halogens had bad ballasts. but ive had problems with DDMs HIDs not working right. like only able to get the drive side to come on and the passenger side will not until i turn on and off the headlights a few times. that just could a bad ground just on connecting, but i wish the wires was longer.

I've never had any issue with DDM kits at all. Put them on 4 cars already.

Don't mention it. It's why we're all here
