I would also like to know this ^^^. I dont want to drill out my air box either. i was considering just buy tubing that was as wide as the hole that's already there and doing the newmission mod with that so no drilling is required and then as you said i could just put the insert back in if i noticed the mileage was worse or wanted to go back to stock. i'm wondering if anyone has done it that way?

2012 Focus Custom Ram Air How-To

If you look someone did it with a hose that fit in the preexisting hole for the air box resonator at the very bottom. Just take the bottom pice to home-depot they will help you out. I used rigid vacuum cleaned hose.

This was the first mod that I did to my car. It has really made a difference. I took out the bottom insert in the triangle piece, installed an offset air brake duct right behind it, and added a 3" id radiator hose from the duct right to the bottom of the airbox. The whole installation is not noticable unless you really look for it. Fuel mileage seemed to increase also. Next is a tune and exhaust. I put 100 miles a day on my focus and not a day goes by that I do not look forward to driving it.

Been sick for a week and first day back at work and all the parts are in!!!
(Shipping at work so the wife don't see it :P )

Also got an OBD II reader matched with Torque Pro. Will post some result before and after, should be interesting.

Thx Newmission! & Seminoles too!

St front

I have a st front bumper on my se, I'm really wanting to do this mod but I don't know where the best place would be to place the hose exit. Any suggestions on this?

curve it over to the inside where the grill shutter duct used to sit and catch some of the air coming in the front
