I would be the first to tell you that the DCT clearly had its fair share of issues.
It seems that Ford had some clutch issues with the ST as well.

I also believe that Ford is smart enough to fix what is broken and to improve that which needs improvement.

I spend time on a couple of ST forums daily and about 80% of the complaints that I've heard about the ST clutch are from you. seriously.

The '13 and early '14 ST has slave cylinder issues reported by enough different people that it has been reported FoMoCo has implemented a design change to the slave cylinder construction. Premature and in some case, infant mortal, failures of the clutch hydraulic system employed in the ST is a well documented failure mode.
