Update: Finally got around to replacing the battery this weekend. A few days ago, the hard starting began taking even longer and I started to get some really rough/loud idle at low RPM, like the car was on the verge of stalling out. Using any accessories made it even worse.

Replaced the battery with a new one and all is well for the past few days. No hard starts, much smoother running, and even the DCT feels a bit less confused now.

Just about to hit the 50K mark and my battery is toast.

Took a 200 mile road trip to see family this weekend and went to crank it this morning and nothing. Jump start got it going but it won't hold a charge.

Time to get a new one. I won't be sticking with a motorcraft after hearing all the problems people have with this.

Is it all the little bells and whistles this car has contributed to killing the battery?
I've never had a car with so many things that need battery power.

Auto headlights and stereo that turn off after you kill the engine, dome light staying on, ambient lights, alarm, power locks etc...
