what is the "washer trick"? eagle eyes

I've read about it and there's not a lot of info about it, when you install you're projectors I hear some guy's talking about the "washer trick" whatever that means, the left projectro is screwed up........what type of adjustabliity do you have?

Not really sure what youre asking. Are you saying your left projector is screwed up and if theres some trick to fixing it?

Ive heard the washer trick with morimoto MH1s but didn't know there was one for the ebay projectors.

No both projectors are fine but some guys are saying something about the washer trick ::shrugs::

The washer trick for MH1s is to add washers behind the the lens to angle it out a little more. Makes for a more colorful cutoff.

Apparently, there are two versions of the Eagle Eyes Projectors. The earlier version uses a slightly different bulb mount utilizing three screw fasteners, whereas the newer ones have a two screw setup.

For whatever reason, there is a slight dimensional difference between the two versions. In the older versions, there is no problem, but in the newer ones, that difference can produce a ragged/uneven light cutoff line when you install HIDs.

HID bulbs are a little bit longer than the original halogens, and protrude slightly too far into the projectors, distorting the cutoff line. To fix this, you can install small washers between the bulb mounting plate and the headlight body to back the HID bulb out of the projector just enough to sharpen the cutoff.
