2000 focus zetec

My focus drives fine for the first 5 minutes, then starts jerking and the rpm's drop..it does this intermittently as I drive, also dies sometimes at stop signs. have installed these parts, plugs, fuel filter, maf sensor, throttle body, alternator, crank position sensor, camshaft sensor, idle air control motor, differen salvaged computer, i am thinking the fuel rail sensor next, I hate to keep throwing stuff at the wall to see if it sticks...at my wits end,. I hope someone can help...

Welcome to the forum

I moved your thread to the Technical Chat area.

I would check the fuel pressure to make sure it's not the pump going out.

2000 zetec

thanks for your reply, I went ahead and ordered another fuel pump as my sending unit quit working a while back, have been watching mileage, I will re-post if a new fuel pump fixes my problem...

Double check the PCV hose and PCV valve. The hose runs from valve near the front of the motor to the back. It's known to collapse.
There's another sensor on the firewall near the top and I can't recall the name of it. It start with Dpfd or something like that. Check it as well.
Good luck...
