Download WRC or other rally coverage?

I used to love following WRC when Speedvision used to play the day's highlights late at night as the event progressed. These days, I have no TV service, as it would cost a bare minimum of $75/month just to get some of the channels I want and I don't watch TV very much anyway.

That leaves me to wondering, is there somewhere I can download the coverage?

And how about other events like SCCA rally or even desert racing from the likes of SCORE and such are good to watch. I have in the past seen coverage from rallying in Canada as well.

Ah, that would be one way. It would be nice if I could download and save. I love to watch stuff via a usb stick in my bluray player on my plasma TV.

Just go to www.keepvid.com, paste the youtube url in and download the mp4's in whatever resolution you want... can't play mp4 video... get a converter... there is some obscure station now on direct tv that is playing limited wrc coverage but we are pretty much out of luck here in the states...

^^ this.

Or really any kind of solution similar to that. Get your tv connected to the internet somehow. You can do a chromecast, or you can hook up computer using HDMI and then kick back with a wireless keyboard/mouse, or you can get an internet accessing blu ray player, OR use an Xbox or playstation

Nice, this sounds like my best first attempt in the matter. My blu-ray player handles mp4s so that should be no issue.

That converter device is news to me but looks intriguing as well. I am not one to keep up with all the little gizmo's that come along and then sometimes find myself surprised at what can be accomplished.
