Puddle light and turn signal upgrade on 2012 SEL hatchback...

First of all, thank you for becoming an official vendor of Focus Fanatics! I'm going to replace my puddle lamps and turn signals in my exterior mirrors, but being an LED newbie, I want to do it right (I've read where people have paid less money, only to regret having low light output).

So, here is what I am prepared to buy:

For the puddle lamps:

194 LED Bulb - 18 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower
$16.95 ea.
Part Number: WLED-WWHP18-TAC | UPC: 84778100939
Warm white

For the turn signals:

194 LED Bulb - 10 SMD LED Wedge Base
$14.95 ea.
Part Number: WLED-AHP10-DAC | UPC: 847781009576
Amber

The only thing I'm concerned about is the 120 of the turn signals...will they meet or exceed OEM output/safety standards? Are either of them overkill, when lesser light output would do?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.

- Scott

Did you ever replace the bulbs?

Only my puddle lamps. I happened to double-check the above bulbs and noticed they were oversized, so I went with these in cool white:

I'm happy with them.

They passed the test; I just haven't gotten around to ordering them in amber yet.

Same coverage spread and intensity? Are they difficult to replace? White color too harsh?

Better coverage spread, higher intensity, and the cool white is perfect to me. I'm actually glad I didn't go whiter. All I needed was a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the rubber boot - didn't even need to remove the mirror glass.

Just ordered the puddle lights. Hope they look way nicer than the stocker ones. And puddle light as in the ones on the side mirror?

Ordered LED's a while back from these guys. Can't remember which, but fairly white ones for the puddle and turn signal. Excellent quality.
