Stock piping is 2" or less in some areas.

Do you have an idea of the dimensions for an ideal header for the mkIII?

Also have seen others discuss replacing the muffler only with a Magnaflow...what about a Flowmaster 60 (set up for 4-cyl engines)? Not interested in a cat-back.
Can't seem to find a clip of the ford racing axleback for mk3 na

Is the axle back for just sound or does it give performance too?

Just sound, the power is made by improving flow near the engine. Catback is needed to see power increase, and more so with a header.

nice! you mind sharing how much it cost, what components are in it? anything other than the muffler (is there a resonator up front) does it go all the way up to the cat, did you have two cats before and remove one?

It cost me about $300 total I have a single in dual out magnaflow muffler(the only one I could find online) i removed one resonator but I left the one closest to the cat for now. I plan on going 2.5" cat back later I just didn't want the sound to be too loud. Mine sounds perfect now has a quiet tone at idle but sounds louder when shifting also combined with the snorkel delete and green filter though
