I've been hit :(

I have had this car for a total of 5 days and today she was hit in a CVS parking lot. I feel like I can't win. There was, of course, no damage to the Lincoln MKZ suv that hit me. I however, sustained a large rear bumper dent. Into the body shop she goes.

I guess it could have been worse if its just the bumper that was damaged.

Mac-You are right. It's just hard to look at after seeing her shiny and new, after driving her around town carefully. It's also a hassle and costs money to fix her.

Uh that sucks. I'd be crying. That's why I try to park out away from the crowd, or in an end space as close to the curb as I can get.

If it was a rear ended crash, could this damage your DCT? Maybe?

Wife and I went out for dinner tonight
I chose the restaurant based on how safely I could park
My wife commented about the fact that when we came back to the car someone had parked beside it

Hi mwells,

Iím glad to hear that you are okay. As you look into next steps, check out this link for info on Genuine Ford Original Equipment replacement parts and be sure to contact your insurance agency for policy-specific info.

Nifty little video there on that page. You may be interested in watching this, considering you damaged your bumper.
