Didnít know I bought a snowmobile

oh wait yes I did

I bought the winter tires mostly because the factory tires were at the end, winter was on its way, and I really wanted Summer Tires next year.

At first I was skeptical they were a bit more squirmy than I liked, which is expected Ė tall blocks and plenty of sipes. But after the adjusting period (1-2 weeks) & slow down on corner speeds ext. they were ok.

But after a trip up north and running thru a huge rain storm, with tons of standing water, tornado touchdown really close and the car never even thinking about hydroplaning. Yeah I was a believerÖÖ.

Then the snow came and WOW, I had more traction than nearly everybody on the roads. I understand why in Canada they want everyone to have winter tires.

Record snow fall this winter current total of 112 inches recorded at the local college.

Fast forward to this morning, we just got dumped on last night, the roads around my house had at least 12Ē of snow due to drifting. But didnít even phase the little car Ė turn Off the traction control because itís worthless, and then itíll go nearly anywhere.

Driving thru 12Ē of wet snow and pushing the top 4Ē with the bumper!!!
No issues.

pic is at work where they only got 4-5 inches and no lake effect

Yep.

Don't need no stinkin' Snow Tires eh?

Laugh a bit every time I hear that all seasons are more than adequate.

Get by in moderate conditions, sure. When it gets nasty, tires meant to deal with it make a huge difference.
