New header option?

Check out this new header:

http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/r...3Fnav%3DSEARCH

Looks like an option that would pass inspection easier. Retrofit to our version? Might not take much to do.

Enough of a CAT to avoid a CEL is an interesting development.

Well people have ran a couple different duratec headers in their third gens, right? I dont remember much modification (if any was needed)

This still would require me to have a tune or add a third bung to keep that CEL off though. Safe to assume the cat is between the two bungs?

Where is the cat on that thing? Seems too small to fit between the o2 bungs.

I don't believe there is a cat on there.

Even if there was a cat on there as a I used to be a state inspector when I was in the automotive industry this probably would fail visual inspection because it no cat is visible. It still looks like a normal header. Very nice header though.

There is no cat in there.
Header looks mean little, it's all about fitment, qualify of construction, and not leaking.

It was posted up in the Duratec TiVCT section, I commented there that even IF it has a CAT hidden between the bungs so it doesn't give a code it might not pass visual.

Just wondering about it a bit - Ad implies a CAT between there, but it would be tiny.

Tune or spark plug adapter "trick" to fool the O2 sensors were the only options before, it'll be interesting to hear more about this piece.

Fits,works, worth anything etc..

After reading about the header I decided to check out eBay for what it's worth and found this gem. Looks like it was slapped together with JB Weld.
