OK, within the past week I've noticed on 3 different occassions that the speakers in my '12 ti sedan will continuously thump loudly. The thumping is very fast. It stops when I start the car. This phenomenon has been mentioned before & it seems like the amp is sending a rogue signal to the speakers for some reason. The MFT system appears to be the culprit. The APIM has been replaced once. Are there any updates on this issue?

This is an old problem that seems to be linked with an audio driver if I recall. Sometimes mft boots it out of order. It's only a real issue if it continues more than a little here or there.

If it is anything like the Fiesta it will require the dealer flash the computer to support the radio. In the case of the Fiesta there is at least one available kit to fool the computer and allow the use of a different radio model without needing to flash.

The harness that hooks to the mft seems to be different, it will hook the radio but not the unlock/flasher button or the 8in screen. Can someone help me here

Any idea when the next release is due? They have been on a 6-8 month cycle for awhile, and its been 9 since the last, and I have heard nothing about a newer version then 3.6.2

Someone over at SMR posted this recently:

"I was at South by Southwest Interactive, where I had a chance to speak with a Ford Sync developer demonstrating Sync and integration with home automation, as well as the AppLink open API for developers. When I asked him when AppLink would be supported on MFT his response was "soon". A major update was coming.

Come on Ford don't continue to let the folks who buy your more expensive accessories down. We paid more because we want all the features not less."

As always with these things though......grain of salt!

There is a TSB that may cover this.
It is an update for the power amplifier (DSP module in Ford speak) firmware.

I would bet good money this never happens for current MFT.
