Question why do i have gas in my cold side pipes?

ok, so here is the story. I have been dealing with a CEL that goes on and off from time to time. the code im pulling off is for the front O2 sensor detecting too much gas, so that being said. yesterday my car had begun to shutter a bit when I applied medium gas pedal pressure, which seemed to me to be a loss of spark issue. So I tore into it today.

the first thing I looked at was the plugs which were fine (only have 2k on them)
so my next step was to clean off the MAF since I've had some issues with light oil build up forming on the sensor.

well sure enough no sooner then I undo the coupler a little bit of fluid leaks out but this time has a strong stench of gasoline??? as I am curious to see how much I grabbed a jar and this is what came out

now after cleaning the pipes and cleaning the MAF I put everything back together and it runs like a dream.

so now the question is how the fek does gas get into my pipes??????

take a oil sample from the engine and see what it looks like. Also do you have any pictures of your setup? specifically the exhaust side of the engine.

It isnt gas there is no way for it to get there unless it is being sucked up through the air filter
My guess it is condensation from where it is sucking hot air into the intake from the valve cover and meeting the cool air , this is very common and why I dont like the engine breathing through the filter/intake , the oil smell is the over fueling he has had and getting into the crank case

I would check your PCV and make sure it is working properly and that the hose isnt sucked close , me? I would vent all the hoses to the ground and never have this issue again

Also it you are washing the cylinder walls with fuel, your oil will start to smell like fuel. Then additionally if you putting to much oil pressure on the turbo it will seep out of the cold side. You can check but looking at the turbo inlet.

I've seen it before, rare..but it does happen.

the fluid was sitting by the lower coupler of the elbowed pipe

this is the best pick i have of the exhaust piping

since the turbo was installed the PCV was not deleted it is still in tacked however it is not hooked up to a catch can or anything the line coming off of the valve cover is open to the atmosphere and gets dumped under the battery tray

Get a filter on that turbo !

More then likely at some point went through some water and sucket it into the turbo and then into the piping would be the only way fluid could get into your boost piping , you failed to mention you were boosted when you posted this lol

I have a very clean piping that would move your intercooler to TB piping and work better , look better
