Per the website Ford.mx they are not getting any of the european powertrain options, only the 2.0 L GDI and MTX-75 or DPS6 DCT, the exact same as the cars built in Michigan.

The MTX-75 comes from Germany, and the DPS6/DCT comes from Mexico.

So the DCT was the supposed reason for the swap (as per the reasons cited in the other thread) and yet they elected to keep the drivetrain the same...

Pretty much exactly what I assumed, lol.

I loved the 17" wheels that look just like the 18" ST wheels, I think some guy from Europe already post that picture. I only took pictures of the S model, but I'm thinking I should go back to my local FD and take some pictures of the upper models.
FYI the HB is offered only with the DCT! I'm so angry with Ford MX for that! I'd like to get the HB but with the 5spd MT. My salesman said the European DCT is worry free, time will tell.

Your salesman is lying again, the European built models with the American 2.0 L GDI engine use the same dry dual clutch transmission built in Mexico as the U.S. assembled models. It's been confirmed by Unida767 from his German built MK3 in Australia.

The DCT is generally not a problem, and I put over 15k miles on one with no issues, my brother over 36k miles to date without an issue, but it's not assembled in Germany or Europe.

You're right, the new Focus comes with the 2.0 engine option but with no FF

@dyn085
The local media advertising says the European DCT is worry free
:)
I know I know!

Without what? What is FF? They are not using the wet clutch DCT which was made in Europe, that only goes on the higher powered diesel models over there. The dry dual clutch DPS6 DCT is made in your back yard (in Mexico).

I wonder if the back seat headrests would fit my focus.
